As much as I love using UKCS it's not in Norn Iron is it? So what's the solution....easy....start my own forum. So last November this is exactly what I did.
I found a platform I can use called Lefora which is an company based in LA. Having used it for the winter I have found it a steep learning curve but am starting to get quite good at it.
In the winter months I worked on promoting the forum through the internet and by word of mouth. I got some business cards and flyers printed off and handed them out at the Holiday World show. I have also posted them off to all the campsites I can find online.
That has paid off as I now have a load of members in my online community. They all seem to be great people and I look forward to further expansion of the forum as the weather starts to improve.
